Our Teams

What do the Marquette Luxons mean to you?

Our Mission Statements

1. To encourage diversity and highlight the empowering attributes of each member.

2. To work to find solutions that benefit us, our community and STEM.

3. To strive to honor the spirit of gracious professionalism.

Core Values

Discovery. Some of our best ideas from previous years were byproducts of sudden inspiration. On our team, we actively encourage the discussion and development of new ideas.

Innovation. There is no shortage of problems during the engineering process. Oftentimes, these problems require us to innovate new strategies for our design, which has the potential to greatly impact the robot’s performance.

Impact. Through our outreach efforts, we are able to inspire people outside the team with our robot. But the impact can also be within the team when members deepen each other’s passion for engineering.

Inclusion. Nobody is an outsider in the Luxons. Everyone has a place in a department, and the captains are always willing to assist if a member feels excluded.

Teamwork. Everything should be treated as a multi-person job. By working together as a team, we are able to improve upon failure and ensure efficiency.

Fun. We are all here to learn and have a good time. The way we see it, It would be impossible to create a truly great robot if nobody is having a great time doing it.
